We are seeking an experienced AV Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering audio visual systems, including creating detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts.

Our customers include performing arts venues (sound, video, lighting), churches, restaurants and hospitality, corporate boardrooms and even some high-end residential. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AV Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering audio visual systems, including creating detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and extensive experience in the audio visual industry. They should possess excellent design and engineering skills, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and have exceptional communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
Responsibilities
Work with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop design plans and layouts for audio visual systems.
Design and engineer audio visual systems, including room layout, equipment selection, and system integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio visual systems.
Prepare project documentation, including as-built drawings, manuals, and system documentation.
Design and engineer audio visual systems, including room layout, equipment selection, and system integration.
Create detailed drawings, schematics, and system configurations using software such as Visio and AutoCAD LT.
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and emerging technologies.
Participate in weekly level 10 meetings
Requirements
Experience Requirements:
10 years AV installation Experience
2 years of experience in a design / engineering role
People Skill Requirements:
A professional appearance and attitude with superior customer service skills and experience greeting and communicating with clients
A team player - being able to work with a team of driven individuals accomplishing a common goal
Being flexible - understanding that the customers needs come first and sometimes requires working a longer day
Job Skill Requirements:
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Experience with Dtools - System Integrator
In-depth knowledge of audio visual systems and technologies, including room design, equipment selection, and system integration.
Proficiency in design and engineering software such as Visio and AutoCAD
Ability to create detailed drawings, schematics, and system configurations.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and vendors.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as InfoComm and CEDIA.
